Although they are a six piece outfit the driving person behind One Mind is definitely Joan Bower who not only wrote every song on the CD but plays keyboards and sings lead vocals. The style of the music could best be described as mellow, easy listening praise and worship with subtle jazz hints (mmm nice!). Personally I found this just too middle of the road and laid back to offer inspiration and some of the harmonies sounded like somebody somewhere was a little bit pitchy as they put it on American Idol. Add to this some stilted lyrics, ("I like your smile/Your personality is great/You really care.") and you get one CD which whilst not being totally awful is certainly not going to shake the CCM market to its foundations.
