This was put together primarily as a Christmas resource for use in school concerts and lessons for Key Stage 2 last year. That said the songs are really easy to learn and sing while the backing tracks and arrangements are top notch. Also noteworthy are the vocals in which the kids have done very well indeed. I was particularly taken by an excellent arrangement of "Joy To The World". The CD also contains seven versions from the selection which are backing tracks only, while the comprehensive enhanced elements feature lesson plans for follow up, along with videos, maps and pictures. It's not really appropriate to review this in any other way than as a schools' resource - and in this respect it succeeds admirably, but the album also works as of itself, which I'm sure wasn't planned for, so my congratulations go to Andrew Rayner and his team.
