You may not have heard of Osmond Collins before now, but if this album is anything to go by, you will be hearing a lot more of him. Let me give you a brief synopsis of this artist. He was born in Jamaica and emigrated to America in his early teens. Like most gospel singers, he started singing in church from an early age. His ambition was to be a singer. His dream became a reality when CBS Records signed him. He was doing quite well while signed to CBS Records, but God told him to stop singing the songs that he was doing and sing 100% gospel. Since then, he has recorded two albums. 'Walk The Walk' is his second gospel album, and is very different from the first one. There are 15 tracks on this album which is very good value for money. All originals songs, except "There Is A Fountain" and "I Have A Friend". All the other songs were written by Collins and AG Richards. This is a refreshing gospel reggae album, lovers rock at its best. The silky smooth voice of Collins will keep you listening for hours. The album was produced by Tony Richards, one of gospel reggae's top producers. He has been in the business for years and also sings backing vocals on some of the tracks. There are many good tracks on the album. One that gets a lot of airplay on some radio stations is "Bless Me", which is based on the prayer of Jabez. A reggae album that all can enjoy.
