From the funky opener "Different Now" with one of those Fairlight brass riffs which made Stevie Wonder's '70s classics so compelling, to the closing "Reprise" to the slinkily soulful "I Am The One" this is everything we'd hoped for from the Kimmey Sisters. Fans of Destiny's Child or Alicia Keys will appreciate the ladies' fresh approach to contemporary R&B while the strength of the group, those delicious, delicate and intoxicating harmonies, are still in clear evidence. Lisa Kimmey wrote or co-wrote every song while there's a plethora of top-of-the-tree production talent on show here, including Donnie Scantz (Aalijah), Nate and Mike Clemons (Mary J Blige), Lee Jerkins (Cross Movement) and Todd Collins (dc Talk). Even executive producer Toby McKeehan appears as "guest emcee" on the engaging "Day Like Today". There are funky sounds like "Paradise" and "Showpiece" while "All You Need" with delicious multi-layered harmonies and "Rolling Stone" with deft acoustic guitar are delightful. Spirituall uplifting music from a class act.
