One has to hand it to Sheffield's Resound Media for their unerring ability to uncover grassroots ministry acts with bags of potential. They've done it again with this impressive husband and wife duo and Andy Baker's production brings out the full eclectic mix of sounds and stylings of Penny Lyon and Kevin Washburn. Apart from the Christmas song "Christmas Lady" which I didn't particularly care for, everything else here works, be it the strong soul music vibe of the opener "You Can" through to the impassioned balladry and delicate acoustic songs all emanating from this talented Gloucestershire-based couple. My favourite is the West African-influenced "Grace". In a Christian music age when many albums seem stamped from the same stylistic template, these guys show that eclecticism doesn't necessarily mean musical incoherence. A warm hearted album I'll be returning to.
