What goes up must come down, that's the law of gravity as the bruises on Sir Isaac Newton's head proved (not to mention the bruises on the apple!) but then Newton had never followed the career of Out Of The Grey. Their fourth album 'Gravity' simply proves that what goes up keeps on going up. Scott and Christine Dente, with Charlie Peacock again in the producer's chair, have done it again! From the gentle pop of the opener "Stay Close" through to the romantic feel of the erm...dreamy erm..."Dreaming Of April", this album is packed with so many goodies you'll get mugged by the music police on the way home from the shop. Christine's voice is perfection personified whether she's tackling a gentle "So We Never Got To Paris" or a raunchy "Hope In Sight". The production allows the music to breathe and it feels less cluttered than earlier albums. This is particularly pleasing because it allows Scott's astonishing guitar playing to come to the fore. The beautiful "When Love Comes To Life" looks at how the love of Christ completely transforms lives. "Bird On A Wire" looks at the pressured existence of those who choose to live their lives precariously balanced between opinions when it comes to matters of faith. Songs that are challenging but jargon free, full of grace but not sloppy, songs that you will be unashamed to play your unchurched friends. Get this and pray they tour next year!

I have this 4th release in my huge ccm collection of cd, vinyl and dvd. The husband and wife team have a big hit that is a seculary flavored lovesong. "So We Never Got To Paris" was the first song I heard play on ccm radio from this cd: I luv the music score! The title song "Gravity" had also spawned a video which I have in my collection. I must add that Scott and Christine are great songwriters as well as singer/
musicians. "Stay Close" is the cd starter song, also was heard on ccm radio at time of cd release: it's another favorite song of mine on cd. I also like the follow up 2 #'s "When Love Comes to Life", and
"Hope in Sight":great songs!! GOD Bless! -Don
