This being the first major label release from the Tennessee-based group, my curiosity was raised high and the first track, "Enemy Among Us", does not disappoint with some shoe-gazing/ambient moments. Crafting haunting melodies reminiscent of those by Thom Yorke of Radiohead, these are placed over sparse keyboard based electronic soundscapes. As the song builds, nothing is lost but much is gained as the atmospheres are shaped around the simple melodies and everything is drawn in. Finishing rather abruptly but aptly, "Wish" progresses from the more ambient nature to a more guitar-based sound, this progression seems very natural and is in no way forced. There is nothing which is lost in this transition but rather the album begins to move from strength to strength. The first single, "Carousel" is certainly one of the standout tracks, with its driving rhythms and fresh take on a rather dull scene feeling rather refreshing. As the album progresses, unfortunately their sound began to lose a little of its freshness. But this is a very strong debut and we wait to see whether the band can establish themselves in the mainstream.

This band absolutely needs more love. And a new album ...
