Partners 'N Praise was formed in 2000 by a group of Detroit musicians. The aim was to develop a singing group and use it as an outreach ministry. So on this CD we get 13 tracks, which are a mixture of songs and spoken word with a musical backing. The vision is admirable and speaks of the need to live what the group are sharing. The music is reminiscent of early '90s keyboard-driven gospel, so in that respect is somewhat dated. The declarations are strong. As a standalone product this isn't really a strong CD, but that should not undermine the integrity nor the vision of the group, who I suspect would give an impressive live performance.
