Don't let the fact that it's on Rugged fool you. The heavy rock/metal label are expanding and after my tastebuds were tweeked by this fine new acoustic-based singer/songwriter, I for one am glad. Several exceptional songs full of evocative imagery. Listen to "Song For Terese" ("Would I wipe the crying eyes that cherish me/Would I honour God just like you do in secrecy") or "Ignorance Is Bliss" ("Brothers are fighting, believers at war/We stand up so righteous let liberty reign/Integrity costs though we sell it like whores/So everyone can be happy"). The sound throughout is bluesy with Paul's declamatory style and thrashed acoustic nicely filled out by producer Dino Maddalone. Another fine communicator with much to say.
