Paul has of course penned numerous hits for everyone from Cliff to Avalon as well as producing numerous popular children's albums. This montage of adult themes such as meaninglessness, fears, materialism and personal relationships is an outstanding group of well written, heartfelt songs with great musicianship and production. What you get here is passion and panache, soul and sensitivity and verve, yet vulnerability. The two outstanding tracks are "Jesus Did You Watch The News", an Oasis-style take on the tragedy that is fallen mankind, and "God Of The Moon And Stars", a haunting reflection of the overwhelming love of God which darn well makes you cry. Praise too for Lizzie Dean for her excellent backing harmonies and vocals. If you've been following the seasoned songsmith since those far off Nutshell days or if you've yet to encounter this fine musical communicator, either way this is an album to add to your collection.
