ICC's press release speaks of Paul Heyman's Christian music background working with Sal Solo and of his current tour with Helen Shapiro. It also describes Paul as a Messianic Jew with a passion for God and who, despite severe illness, did not lose faith. He has given traditional Jewish music a marvellous contemporary feel on this album and for all my inexperience in this area, I think it sounds just great! The only vocal track on this album ("Baruch Haba B'shem Adonai") is sung by Helen Shapiro, with Paul playing the violin. On the title track it's as if the piano "speaks" and the hauntingly beautiful violin "answers" and then they "sing" together, weaving melodies in and out, seeming to perform a beautiful dance of love. Truly an album full of worshipful passion, straight from the heart.
