Paul O is certainly capable of putting together songs that exalt God and lift the listener. Catchy tunes and strong singing, some Carribean influences mix with his R&B gospel. "You Are Mighty" is an excellent praise tune with interweaving vocal lines and a bouncy beat. Elsewhere, Paul gets soulful on "More Than Anything Else" and the opener "He Loves Me" is a solid slab of British soul influences and probably the most commercial cut here. This five track EP is well-constructed and only suffers slightly from its limited budget, so that some of the synth and drum sounds are weak, but it's well worth grabbing an earful if only for Paul's distinctive powerful voice. Not sure about the tinned crowd noises on "More Than Anything Else" but that's a small quibble. This is actually perfect summer music, wind down the car window, slot it into the stereo and enjoy the sunshine!
