Wow! 20 years ago this cd was hitting the charts.
Well known, long time ccm songwriter Archie Jordan teamed up with Paul for the title #; surely it has made a place in history halls of ccm. Pop/country
singer/songwriter Paul Davis also gives his hand to help supply songs & bgvs for this cd. This is another one of those projects that has so many familiar names from various music genres. "Me and My Baby" has hit written all over it. Some bgvs are Lisa Silver,
Kathie Baillie (Baillie & the Boys), Lisa Bevill, Vicki Hampton, Kim Fleming, & Wayne Kirkpatrick.
I just love "There But For The Grace Of GOD Go I"; how often we have heard those words.
I was reading some bio info on Glen Campbell and the song "What's Going Without Saying"; Glen, along with ccm pioneer Kelly Willard, and ccm artist
Susan Ashton provide top notch bgvs for this song; it's really a duet of Paul & Susan Ashton. Top country artist lends his songwriting talents for "LORD She Sure is Good at Loving Me". The lyrics to the Last song have been heard countlessly "Till The Answer Comes (Gotta Keep Praying)": again, we hear bgvs of Kelly Willard, and Buddy Greene (Buddy can play harmonica that touches deeply). Nice cd to have.
