Another trawl through the archives in the era when Larry Norman (together with the other longhairs in People!) had a Top 20 hit and the world at their feet. This compilation offers three tracks from 1967's 'I Love You', three tracks from 1969's 'Both Sides Of People!' plus fun recordings like "Hungarian Rhapsody" which is a fair shot at Franz Liszt. There's something wonderfully powerful about the gauche but compelling "We Need A Whole Lot More Jesus And A Lot Less Rock 'n' Roll" showing that even in his pop star days Larry was an evangelistic loose cannon. Younger rock fans may find some of the arrangements here with their rambling solos and wild eclecticism slightly quaint. But for those with ears to hear this is another absorbing slice of art rock history.
