A simple album of six of Pete's songs recorded more or less acoustically. The album begins weakly with "Best Kept Secret", which could more than likely prevent the casual speed-listener from bothering with the rest of the CD. This would be unfortunate, as the songs grow in strength from here on in. While the low budget is apparent, Pete is a practised artist who has played in several bands and has clearly learned how to write good music. Style is reminiscent of Mal Pope's band and there are hints of what Coldplay I guess would have sounded like in their beginning. The lyrics could benefit from more work, having good ideas but not, I feel, necessarily finding the right words. The CD peaks at "Come On", a rousing song that oozes energy.

I love this album, he's not deceased- just gone into hiding after becoming a father but still talented.
Sometimes rocky, always thoughtful, I particularly like his lyrics.
