These 11 songs from the Leamington Spa songsmith demonstrate that he is still able to turn out a good tune wedded to articulate and challenging lyrics. It's difficult to settle on one particular category for his songs as other reviewers have discovered. The nearly eight minute "Love In My Life" has a bit of everything - guitar, piano, strings, organ - all within the same song, with a sound not unlike Eric Clapton at times. "Jesus In You", featuring David Overton, sounds uncannily like Billy Joel's "Piano Man" and other tracks vary between rock'n'roll, soul and blues. It's all very good, though, and Phil's fervour and commitment are evident throughout the set. "Little One", based on Ecclesiastes 12:1, is clearly meant for his young grandchild and "My Lovin' Eye" is a great love song, as well as being capable of being read as a worship song. Another very accomplished album from a musician who deserves a wider audience.

Phil is an incredible singer song writer and musican. He really does play guitar like Eric Clapton and piano like Elton John and sometimes both at the same time!
I highly recommend his songs.
