Singer, songwriter and worship leader Philip Hamrick from North Carolina's The Cove Church has his major label debut album produced by the Grammy-winning Glenn Tabor. "Bigger" starts off in the typical worship mode, a mid-paced, guitar-based declaration of praise. Over a backdrop of atmospheric synths and a haunting slow beat, "The War" is a conversation with God about personal struggles with doubt and fear which ends in the triumphant declaration "Hallelujah Jesus Wins!" Throughout the lyrics are deeply personal and honest as Hamrick bares his soul while the funky, old-school, soulful groove "Love Is On The Line" showcases his vocals at their best. An engaging debut of depth with much to savour.
