"12 timeless carols for Christmas", it says on the box, and that's exactly what you get - whatever "timeless" means, but you get the picture. Plodding renditions of "O Come All Ye Faithful", "While Shepherds Watched", etc, played as well as your average church pianist could play them. They don't come alive in a way which would make you want to sit and listen or even use as background music, so does this CD have any value? Use it as backing tracks for singing? You could - until you're ready to launch into the last verse and it stops: hardly any of the carols get their full quota of verses. One more thing: this is volume one; volume two also has 12 carols. This is 31 minutes long: all 24 could easily have gone onto one CD. I'm sorry, but this is just a rip-off.
