This Special Edition of the excellent 'The Reckoning' album is a treat for fans of the band. Containing the album as you would expect, the real reason for purchasing this is the accompanying DVD. Stuffed with extras, there is a complete video of the band's appearance at Cornerstone, as well as interviews and a commentary on the songs on the album. The quality of the recordings is generally very good, a few wobbly camera angles on the Cornerstone appearance video notwithstanding. Musicians will especially appreciate the quite detailed interviews with band members concerning their respective instruments, as well as almost instructional videos on parts for some of the songs. The DVD alone would be an acceptable release, but coupled with 'The Reckoning' disc too, for those who have not bought this yet, it's a bit of a no-brainer and a 'Special Edition' indeed.
