If you're a fan of hardcore music, you can polish your nose ring and celebrate. Here's a sampler of three new west coast Californian hardcore bands for your delectation and delight. Facedown Records is fast getting a reputation with fans of loud music for a growing catalogue of meaty bands. On this CD, three bands contribute four songs apiece so you get a chance to grapple with each band. Los Angeles-based metallic hardcore Torn In Two make insane music fronted by two lead vocals and plenty of pulsating, heavier than heavy guitar. This is the second set of their songs to make it onto CD. Cast In Stone peddle in-your-face hardcore and this is also their second set to make it onto CD. Point Of Recognition have already released a successful album on Rescue Records and their four songs on this CD introduce new material to their fans. Recommended to hard music buffs and great to see Facedown albums now available in the UK.
