Reviewed by Tony Cummings Having given the 'God Of Wonders' CD a favourable review, I turned to the DVD with an expectation seldom felt when faced with children's (sorry, babies') music. But long before I got to the end of the 10 songs featured here, I was glancing at my watch and wondering how long it was before Football Focus came on the box. The problem is obvious. How do you illustrate 10 songs of worship (nicely sung as previously noted by US female session singers) targeted at babies? The solution plumped for by Daren Thomas, who created the videos, is an endless succession of shots of babies and tots, intercut with predictable shots of the wonders of nature (butterflies, rabbits, flowers) and some decidedly cheap looking graphics. Dull.

Tony is looking at this DVD through adult eyes - kids don't grade visuals as looking 'cheap'. This DVD is absolutely loved by our two older kids of 6yr & 2yr, & it holds the attention of our 8 month old pretty well too. The music is beautiful, and so long as i don't have to watch the visuals, it's fantastic! There is the added bonus of being able to select either the female vocal, a child vocal (our kids favourite), or simply instrumental. I would highly recommend this title and think it is good value for repeat viewing. 4.5 out of 5 (it could do with being longer).
