Recorded over three nights in 2009 at Glasgow's Royal Concert Hall, the DVD features the 400-voice choir with special guests Kristyn Getty, Bethany Goodine, Brad Goodlne and Gamucharai Nhengu. The Praise Gathering choir was started in 1985 with an invitation to anyone with a heart for God to join, regardless of training or experience. The result of this vision is evident here with powerful performances on "Hallelujah To The King Of Glory" and "Let All The World Sing Praises" the latter also featuring Brad. Where the DVD falls down is there is a lack of imagination in the images shown. For example, there are no audience shots and more could be made of the screen images shown behind the choir - only in the bonus track "It Is Well With My Soul" do we see any. Subtitles or lyrics would also be useful. That said, hearing "This Is Our God" sung by 400 people is simply breathtaking!

Product Description
This Is Our God was recorded over three nights in June 2009 at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall attended by 5,800 people. The recording includes 400 singers from over 125 churches throughout West and Central Scotland including special guests Kristyn Getty, Brad & Bethany Goodine.
Praise Gathering has its origins in a choir which came together in 1985 to sing the ‘Psalms Alive’ songs. At that time the invitation was given “to singers - skilled and unskilled, but with a heart for God - to come and take part in this corporate act of Praise to our God.” Over the years, many people have responded to that invitation and last summer there was a choir of 400 singers drawn from 125 different churches.
The history of Praise Gathering is therefore really a history of God at work in the lives of ordinary people who have experienced His love and forgiveness in their own lives. People who are discovering that praising and worshipping God with their voices and their lives is not something that comes naturally, but is something that has to be learned. People who, in learning to acclaim God, are discovering that, in doing so, they experience the joy of His presence every day!
