"'Seize The Moment' is a worship experience designed for men" runs the CD blurb. My mind runs wild as I slot it into the player -will it begin with a DEEP bass voice, all macho assurance, telling us guys to raise up holy hands? Will it have lots of heavy rock power chords to ensure its masculinity? Well, no bass voice, a rather nondescript tenor - which I subsequently discover belongs to Terry Clark - singing a nondescript exhortation song "Rise Up O Men Of God". As the album progresses we've got some more name vocalists, Morris Chapman (singing his most popular composition "Be Bold Be Strong") and John Barbour. Problem is the arrangements are dull, surprising from the usually reliable Smitty Price, and by the time it concludes I'm still feeling pretty flat. By the way, in case you didn't know, Promise Keepers is a ministry "dedicated to uniting men through vital relationships to become godly influences in their world."
