Her debut was okay but this, with some delightfully funky programming by Don Needham, some lovely little touches from Nashville's finest (Tommy Sims - bass, Chris Rodriguez - guitar) and some excellent songs, like the lilting floater "Brand New Life" or the unashamedly radio friendly opener "Savior Song". Rachel's vocals are far more assured than on her debut with the teenager occasionally swooping and soaring like a soul diva but also able to do the breathy ballad bit. Some may find the lyrics a bit simplistic while the insp ballad "No Greater Love" is just too OTT. But there's no denying serious singing talent.
