Born and raised in Texas, where she still resides, Rachelle has long been involved in music and spent much of her late teens and early 20s travelling through America and into Europe, singing the Gospel. She also has a teaching ministry and has a particular passion for ministering at women's conferences and to girls of high school age. This, her second album, was released in 2005 and is essentially a praise and worship offering in a pop/inspirational mould. Rachelle's sweet-toned voice is impressive, and it's the prowess and crystal clarity of her stylings, along with the impact of her thoughtful lyrics (seven of the 11 songs here are her own) that hold your attention throughout. I've got to admit it's Rachelle's deeply personal and inspirational numbers, such as "No Matter What" and "You Are My Everything", rather than the jaz-tinged pop songs - with full brass band and choral accompaniment - that appeal most to this listener. There are scores of talented female vocalists with a style and repertoire similar to Ms Fletcher's. It takes something special to stand out from the pack, and I'm glad to say this lady has the vocal competence to do just that.
