This Woking-based band emerge onto the scene with a fresh rock sound throwing together layers of loud guitar, tight rhythms and plenty of melody to create something that pulsates with energy and yet is memorable. Opening with the groovy, catchy "Sing", this four track EP neatly highlights a band with huge commercial potential. The incendiary riffing guitar and groove that kicks "Change" into funky action sees the band draw on different influences yet skillfully avoid being derivative. The band even display acoustic tendencies on "New Thing" which demonstrates a mellower end to their sound every bit as passionate as the rest of the EP. Good to hear a fresh band and Radiate manage to avoid the current pitfalls of many British Christian bands and thankfully don't sound like Delirious?. Aiming to make an impact in the mainstream, the band have already got off to a good start having worked with Skunk Anansie and recorded for the BBC. On the strength of this excellent EP, Radiate have the chops to break through.
