The CD design is to provide a worship resource for small groups with little musical talent available, a laudable aim. An aim Songs Of Fellowship is also about to pursue. Each of these CDs has over 70 minutes of easy to learn favourite songs designed to accompany worship in smaller settings. An excellent idea to try to enable more effective worship. The CDs include many popular recent songs such as "Lord I Lift Your Name On High" and "As The Deer" plus others. All are performed by a choir with sparse musical backing, simple guitar, bass, drums and keyboard. I do wish I could recommend this resource, but it seems in reducing the songs to a simple level to learn them, they have been allowed to lose all passion, becoming bland, lifeless shadows of real worship. Another grouch is that there is no instrumental backing, without vocals, for a group to just sing-along to. So, whilst the concept is good, use you money to buy a guitar and some lessons to lead your own worship!
