'I Wanna Be...' is one of those albums that is quite evidently birthed out of a real journey by Raymond Dyer and the group. A mixture of slow ballads mingled with some invigorating up tempo numbers, in particular "Jesus Is The Light Of The World". When you get a recommendation from one of the most outstanding artists of his generation (Kirk Franklin) that a track is going places, you tend to sit up and take notice. "Playing Games" is such a track, featuring rock solid rhythm and could, I'm sure, stand up as a single in the mainstream general marketplace. From time to time this six-piece group goes back to an almost choir sound but the focus is never lost. Vocally and lyrically very sound. With Nicky Brown, Brian Powell and Maxwell Greenwood involved with the production you'll know this is UK gospel with serious class. No wonder the Winans, Kirk Franklin, Dawkins & Dawkins and Fred Hammond & RFC are at peace working with these guys.
