This popular Irish singer has recently picked up some favourable airplay on Radio 2 with the title track on which he is accompanied by the All Saints African Choir. Red Hurley has become very popular not only in his native country but also America and I have no doubt he could do well in England. This 15 track CD consists of the crooner backed by light orchestral accompaniment. Red has a fine singing voice almost operatic in style with superb diction while the material covers a wide range of gospel songs from Dolly Parton's "Hello God" to such classics as "Amazing Grace", "Steal Away To Jesus" and "Peace In The Valley". If you enjoy the trained voice MOR of Jonathan Veira you may well enjoy this.

Product Description
Red Hurley is considered to be one of the best voices to come out of Ireland. His powerful voice, relaxed charm and energetic stage shows have captured the hearts of audience's everywhere. Performances throughout Europe and the United States have firmly established Red as a truly exceptional entertainer.

When Terry Wogan played Red Hurley’s recording of How Great Thou Art on his Radio 2 breakfast show the station was inundated with emails from listeners enthusing about the record – “Dave the HGV driver on the M27” had to “pull over while the song was been played it had touched him so much”. A subsequent play a few days later elicited a similarly enthusiastic response from both the listeners and Terry who pronounced that Red has “a magnificent, tremendous voice”.

A prolific hit maker in his native Ireland, Red has spent an impressive total of 140 weeks on the Irish charts. During the last year he has recorded with various choirs in Ireland, Africa and the U.S. for the album How Great Thou Art which was initially planned as an American-only release. However due to the phenomenal response the record company has scheduled a UK release of the album and title track on September 21st.

Red with his rich, powerful voice has been compared to many successful contemporary artists but How Great Thou Art highlights Red’s breathtaking, individual performance perfectly. Without a doubt a song of inspiration and unquestionably a song of peace and reassuring solace, How Great Thou Art is but one example of the treats that are to be found on this new album. On Dolly Parton’s Hello God Red is accompanied by The All Saints African Choir and Red delivers spine-tingling versions of traditional classics including Amazing Grace and You’ll Never Walk Alone.

Red’s emerging profile in the U.S. seems to be the icing on the cake for a career which has taken off in a global way over the last couple of years. His concerts have been sold out on both Irish and U.S. shores and his albums are increasingly well received. His appearances on Irish and American national television are regular highlights whilst the PBS television broadcast of his last concert in Dublin introduced him to millions of new fans.

Without doubt this new album through its inspiring melodies and lyrics will touch emotional chords for listeners of all ages. As 2009 progresses, Red will continue to entertain his large fan base around the world through his live shows and media appearances.
