The first studio recording of this independent, seven-member band mixes a bit of pop, rock and dance into their music. Lyrically - there's no way to put it nicely - the songs are just not very original! It seems as if what they have to say has already been said by many others, and in more creative ways. Musically, the album clearly had a low budget, a handicap that they never really managed to overcome! Vocally too the band don't really ever manage to raise their heads above sounding ordinary. Today's Christian music scene is increasingly competitive and higher standards make huge demands on indie artists. Re:deem have their work cut out for them if they want to make an impact in the future. Obviously, they have a heart for this ministry but they'll have to do some work before I want to hear another CD from them.
