This duo's 'Celebrate' album, recorded with the small choir Prosperity in 2002, almost made the CR playlist so when this newie arrived I listened to it with particular expectation. I wasn't disappointed. Both Renee and Prez possess high calibre voices equally able to take the lead mic as they progress here through a series of pumping church wreckers, swooping soul ballads and the occasional glimpse of sanctified funk. Production is from one of the giants of crossover gospel, Kenny Smith, while the absolute standout here is the toweringly soulful "Good God" where the dynamic duo list a few of the Lord's attributes for anyone who's feeling down in the dumps. A class album and one well worth searching out.
