A couple of giants of traditional gospel whip up a storm in hollering sanctified mode. This style of call and response fervour doesn't quite have the following it once did when James Cleveland ruled the gospel roost back in the '700s but this is still fiery, catarthic music full of gritty voiced testifying and gospel diva hollering. Standouts are 'You Are My Everything' with both the stars swapping exhortions over the swelling and falling choir; 'Don't Believe He Brought Me This Far' (like ' You Are My Everything' rather unnecessarily divided into two parts) and the tribute to James Cleveland 'I'll Be Satisfied.' Trad gospel does no get more satisfying than this.
