Here's an album that exudes potential greatness. Timothy Wright and Bruce Parham, a choir drawn together from the four corners of London, money pumped in from one of the most established of Stateside labels, plus a recipe of songs recorded in the best traditions of black gospel. In all truth, one must not grumble and be choosy at the final result which positively improves as the tracks roll on. Any notion of British involvement in the production soon goes out the window as Wright and Parham both exert their quality and experience with some exquisite vocal work backed by an enthusiastic choir - while our own Ian Pitter and Jennifer Phillips do much to overshadow the irritating LaShun Pace. However, in its entirety - this album will be best remembered more for its pioneering collaboration rather than the overall impact of its music.
