Truly an international release from the N-Soul stable, this album was written and performed by Steve Nixon and Worldwide Message Tribesman Zarc Porter in Manchester, has vocals added by a lady called Sani, who's from Swaziland, and was produced by Scott Blackwell. It's an album that lives up to its title with a very controlled exploration of current European dance sounds. It's quite sparse in its use of rhythm and this, combined with Zarc's wonderfully spacey keyboard sounds, produces a slightly ambient feel to the whole project. In fact, the effect is such that the more instrumental tracks can sound a bit aimless and the album works best on songs like "Sweet Liberation" when the vocals are able to provide the momentum. The stand out track for me, though, is "Scenes From A Tribal Landscape" in which another of Manchester's Tribesman, the Heavyfoot, appears and weaves in some recognisable themes.
