I approach each recording by Richard (he's previously made 'Rock In The Storm', 1998, and 'Chase The Rainbows', 1999) with both expectation and trepidation. Expectation because I wonder if this is the one where he'll turn in that elusive "something special" song that he seems quite capable of penning, and trepidation as Richard's great weakness, a voice that simply doesn't cut the mustard in the cold light of the recording studio, will again be exposed. There isn't a classic song here but, thanks to excellent production/ arrangements from studio maestro Phil Goss there are plenty of pleasant moments. I even appear to be getting used to Richard's erratic pitching. 10 squares for Richard's tenacity.
