Salford's Rivers & Robots continue their exploration of electronica-tinged indie folk rock worship music with the first album release on the new worship record label based in Brighton, Running Club Records. Having had an excursion into instrumental music, the band are back with 11 worship songs that stand out from the crowd with their mix of electronica and acoustic instrumentation and laid back vocals from singer/songwriter Jonathan Ogden. There is plenty of space in their style for the album to feel coherent but not for every track to sound the same and this is augmented by excellent use of vocal harmonies, especially in the opener "Dreams" and in "Brighter Than The Sun", a beautiful duet with Lucy Grimble. Those who have been following their journey so far will not be at all disappointed and for those who have not yet found these guys, this is a great place to start.

Product Description
UK-based label Running Club Records launches with the signing of the critically-acclaimed indie worship band Rivers & Robots and the release of the bands new album, the appropriately titled Discovery. Hailing from Manchester, Rivers & Robots takes its name from the combination of acoustic and electronic influences that permeate their music.
With five independent albums and one instrumental project (in
partnership with Integrity Music) already to their credit, Rivers & Robots has been building a global fan following since 2011. Their popularity is reflected in the 12.1 million song streams on digital platforms and 7 million YouTube views, including over 3 million alone for their popular song Shepherd of My Soul.
With Discovery, the artistically progressive worshipers aim to
give listeners more of what they love while breaking new ground stylistically, all filtered through the lens of making Jesus known through creative worship.
