The Oasis Church in Chippenham, Wiltshire, rock the carols in an enthusiastic live recording. Lots of atmosphere and the band here do well in breathing pop rock life into "Mary's Boy Child", "Joy To The World", "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen", "O Little Town Of Bethlehem" and several others. What really sinks the project though are the lead vocals which, coming as they do from amateur church members, are often flat. A great concept currently doing great things in connecting towns people with the church it would have been wiser to have kept the project clear of the audio scrutiny of the CD.
