Roddy Hunter has a strong voice that first of all put me in mind of The Proclaimers - it's clear and confident, which is a good thing, because the accompaniment leaves a lot to be desired. When the cassette cover says, "All tracks composed, performed and arranged by Roddy Hunter", I was expecting something rather more than a strummed guitar in the background which at times seems to bear no relation lo the melody or rhythm of the song. Having said that, these arc heartfelt songs and well meant song. "In Exchange" and "These Healing Hands" are especially moving and some of the others arc full of real faith. The language is a bit contrived at times, but with some work and a good producer both words and music could minister to many.
