It's difficult to know much about Mexican band now based in Houston Rojo as the sleeve and their website are exclusively in Spanish, but what I do know is that they were nominated last year for a Latin Grammy for this record, which, it has to be said, is very fine indeed. Styles range through funk/rock ("Revolucion"), all out funk ("Eres Lo Mejor"), bubblegum pop/rock along the lines of a more mature Busted ("Con Todo"), some Latin disco ("Contigo [Hare Historia])" and there are a number of ballads thrown in too. Add to that the fact that most playing and production is courtesy of the band it's not hard to see why the album was Grammy-nominated. In fact, I'd like to hear an English language version of this.
