Rosie has become a Greenbelt favourite thanks to her appearances with Seattle songsmith Dennison Witmer and here she weighs in with a Christmas album that some will find charming and others irritating. Cross Rhythms has long criticised unimaginative song selection on most Christmas albums and sure enough, too many of the over-recorded carols ("Silent Night", "O Come O Come Emmanuel") as well as such grizzly seasonal corn like "Let It Snow" and "Winter Wonderland" are featured here. The little-girl-lost poignancy of Rosie's laid back music works well on Joni Mitchell's "River" and the self-penned closer "Rosie's Christmas Wish" but there's way too much sentimental filler here to make this an album you could honestly recommend. For hard core Rosie Thomas fans only.
