Ross now lives in New Zealand but had a stint as the lead in the fondly remembered UK rock band Mr E in the early noughties. This new five-track EP features acoustic versions of some original pop material. "Anything" is a haunting love song with an endearing quality while "World Still Turns" is a gentle affirmation of the importance of having someone who believes in you. The most memorable track for its simple yet hypnotic hook, "Navigate Reality", is about having faith through the circumstances of our daily lives. The five songs showcase some accomplished musicianship and likeable melodies and there is a vulnerable tone to Ross's voice at times but it has to be said that there are some slight tuning problems on some songs.
