Many a low budget independent album suffers from the problem clearly in evidence on his debut, a lack of studio time results in the lead vocals sounding rushed and hesitant, sounding like guides hurriedly put down rather than mature, smooth performances. The songs, by the talented Keith James, are slightly above average, but it's only the slow second song which really does the gifted Ruthie Morris justice. Ruthie needs a better producer and more studio time to make impact in a scene which today has scores of classy inspirational albums.
