Salvador have gained a reputation as Christendom's most popular Latin band and this compilation offers ten of their best known songs. The set opens with "Heaven" with its strains of Spanish guitar and catchy lyrics that one can't help but sing along to, even in Spanish. Lively number "Shine" is followed by the ballads "Waterfall" from 2006's 'Dismiss The Mystery' and "Aware" from the 2008 album of the same name. "What Would It Be Like" and "Crucified" deserve to be mentioned as memorable and the use of a choir in the ballad "Cry Holy" is a touch of brilliance. All in all, Salvador demonstrate that they are one of the tightest bands on the CCM scene and in Nick Gonzales (otherwise known as Mr Jaci Velasquez) they have a soulful lead singer able to handle everything from pop ballads to careering salsa rhythms. If you've yet to hear them 'Top Ten' is a good place to start.
