I love "Hand On My Shoulder", the best track by far on Sandi's latest album and probably one of the best songs released this year thus far. And the rest of the album is such that I feel that she's destined to win at least one if not a multiple collection of awards at next year's Dove Award ceremony - and that's way before any other major acts' contributions to the scene. Therefore, it was more of a pleasure than most when I had the opportunity to view the video which goes with the song and the behind the scenes footage which goes with it. Firstly, the video of the song is pretty good - basically Sandi afloat in a boat, or Sandi stood on a rock - it's the song that's the real winner. But the story of how it was made, and Sandi's comments, and then the footage of the producer, songwriters and everybody else involved is far better than most of this genre. At the end of the 19 minutes I was pleased to have watched it as it added to my understanding of the lady, the song, the album and the industry that is Christian contemporary music. It's worth seeing, but you simply must hear "Hand On My Shoulder" and very soon.
