Reviewed by Dave Brassington On this DVD, hosted by Bill Gaither, we have 17 performances by the inspirational star with much humorous conversation between Bill and Sandi. It all adds up to an excellent running time of approximately one and a half hours. As at one time they were near neighbours, and so crossed paths early in both of their careers, it has obviously been very enjoyable for them to sit down and reminisce about Sandi's life in music! Many of the tracks here are pulled from previous Homecoming concerts she has performed with the Gaithers and one immediately senses there is a real empathy between the two artists. There is no doubting that Sandi is rightly considered to be one of the most powerful CCM divas as evidenced by the performances on this DVD such as "Farther Along", "My God Is Real", "God Gave The Song" and "His Eye Is On The Sparrow" which evoke terrific audience response. However, here lies the problem I have with this powerful and classically trained singer, in that her vocals as so powerful and strident that she, for me, begins to over emote. There is no doubting the sincerity of her beliefs, but for me personally, Patty's histrionics simply do not convey a lot of feeling.
