Sarah is a worship leader based in Georgia, USA, and on this, I believe her album debut, she shows she has an excellent grasp of Celtic-flavoured music maybe thanks to her once working as an intern with Northern Ireland's mighty Kathryn Scott. 'The Woven Whisper' is full of ambient atmosphere where synth washes and ethereal vocals intertwine in a haunting soundscape seemingly made for "soaking" times yet could also be a wistful accompaniment to your home equivalent of the chill out room. I particularly liked "Carry Me" with its effective use of voice echo effects while the floating acoustic guitar rhythms and light percussion of "At The Table" is skillfully delivered and would make a sensitive musical accompaniment to a communion service. Atmospheric is a word often used by hard-pressed reviewers but no other word better fits this soothing balm of an album.
