Illinois-based Sarah has long been a favourite with Cross Rhythms radio listeners from the first notes of the Alanis Morissette-tinged opener "Unescapable" with its frank admission "I tried too hard/Pocketful of pride" it is clear that Sarah has lost none of her ways with a confessional rock song. But as her followers will know, Sarah can handle a wide range of styles and the title track with its nagging piano riff soon gives way to crunching guitars over which she intones impressively while there's a surprise dance remix of her "Take Me Away" oldie from 2004 and "You Know Me" is a hauntingly tuneful admission that God knows us from the inside out. There is also a soulful ballad "Just As You Please" to complete 'My Corner Of Heaven''s celebration of musical versatility and songwriting craft.
