Very little can be gleaned about Sasha beyond the fact that this 2005 album can be obtained through the Jet Star label. What I can tell you is that this is a bizarre reggae-meets-country set, which starts inexplicably with the truly awful title track, before settling into more familiar reggae territory. It's hard to pick standout tracks as the backing is of the karaoke variety, and the vocals sound like they were recorded in a coal cellar. No doubt there is a middle aged Jamaican audience for this corny take on hymnody but for more mainstream tastes this is pretty dreadful.

I find this review thoroughly unfair. I am 29 years old and enjoy biblical based sermons. Sasha's album Jesus is the light allows the listener to reflect and WORSHIP by singing out loud. After hearing this album you too will be singing out loud. This is a must buy album to listen too when you are feeling weary or stressed. While I am not young neither am I middle aged but for those who have been raised with faith yes one or two tracks might have a dated beat.... but is that so bad?? In fact it is more beautiful for me. Growing up in the West Indies this is what we know. A bit of reggae and Country to sing and bounce too even if you just washing wares all in the name of Christ.
God bless you Ms Shasha...and will wait for you to create more albums. For those who have a St Lucian, Antiguan, Grenadian or Barbadian heritage. You will also enjoy.
