This top quality four-piece band have produced a highly enjoyable CD which is packed full of great tracks. One of my favourites is "Fool", a great mix of harmonica, guitar and drums. The chorus is catchy and the lyrics are thought provoking: "It was deemed prudent we should walk upon the earth/We should mourn our dying/We should celebrate our births." "He Can" is reminiscent of some All Star United or DC Talk songs and contains such lyrics as: "I thought he was a crazy man/But he acted so cool/Said the dumb could understand/And the pauper could rule" - a classic line when added to the excellent sounds Satellite Soul give off throughout this CD. Another track which I enjoyed is the slower tempo "Pieces" which at first sounds as if it's a ballad being sung by Kermit the Frog! Painfully truthful lyrics fill this track, including these which speak of escapism through music: "You can try turning the music up louder/ It numbs the heart and the mind/ And the heart disappears and beneath it the fears still reside." Overall, this is a top album, a good blend of rock and light rock. The CD also contains videos, interviews, lyrics and much more which can be accessed on computers.
