In Vince's covering letter he states that he is unsure which classification is most applicable: the enigmatic archivist is as ever in a genus of his own creation. The intangibility of his music is its greatest charm and were it to readily submit to taxonomy it could no longer emanate from the esoteric vaults (the location of which has been transported since the previous unveiling). Nonetheless, the latest offering is (dare I suggest) slightly more commercial, with some tasty sprays of guitar amongst the simulated flutes and drones. Whilst most of Vince's output is via guitar synthesiser we are here treated to a few flurrys of neat stratocaster; I was impressed. As ever, the melodies lean towards the Phrygian mode and the ambience is Eastern: no three chord tricks here! So, if you need to discover whether or not dragons explode in the forest (and how Christianity influences such sulphurous events), dispatch your deep-sea diver to the above address.
